Louie French MP for Old Bexley and Sidcup met with Southeastern's Director of Operations to discuss the Southeastern timetable and push for further Albany Park services.
At the meeting, Louie welcomed the additional services that will be added to December’s timetable including 4 early morning peak services to Charing Cross additionally stopping at Albany Park, 2 new full rounder services on the Sidcup line and 1 additional morning peak service on the Sidcup line to Charing Cross.
Louie continued to push for further services stopping at Albany Park Station which Southeastern committed to continue to work on following Louie’s sustained requests.
Southeastern also confirmed that additional metro capacity will be provided by the roll out of further City Beam trains in December.
Since the timetable changes last year, Louie has campaigned for the reinstatement of off-peak Charing Cross services on the Bexleyheath line, extra Albany Park services, loop line services and peak services on the Sidcup line. Following extensive lobbying and meetings, it is therefore welcome that significant progress has been made on this, but Louie will continue to make strong representations for further reversals including more services stopping at Albany Park.
