As we end what was a very busy 2023 and look forward to 2024, I would like to personally say thank you to everyone who has supported and worked with me to deliver some major improvements across Old Bexley and Sidcup in 2023.
My highlights for the year include:
A new Β£9.6m Community Diagnostics Hub at Queen Maryβs Hospital & Β£10.6m for 50 new beds at Queen Elizabeth Hospital
A new Banking Hub in Welling
Securing more Southeastern train services
Β£40m+ investment in local schools and SEND
Opened the new Cinema and Library in Sidcup
Attended the Kingβs Coronation and switched on the Danson Fireworks
Supported thousands of residents and attended over 100+ community events
I would also like to say a special thank you to all the community volunteers who carry out vital local work in many organisations throughout the year. You are what makes Bexley such a great Borough to live in and represent, and I am really pleased to have helped some of these groups with successful funding bids to end the year on a high.
I fully acknowledge that there is more work to be done and I will continue to work extremely hard for everyone in 2024.
Wishing everyone in Old Bexley and Sidcup a healthy and Happy New Year
