Louie French, Member of Parliament for Old Bexley and Sidcup, has welcomed the news that the London Borough of Bexley’s Adult Social Care services are set to receive a grant of £2.2 million over the next two years as a result of the Government’s ‘social care winter workforce and capacity boost’ programme.
The Government has made this funding available to help with recruitment and retention in social care and boost capacity ahead of winter. The funding will help to provide support to current services delivered by the Council as well as looking at ways to provide more support to those who need it most in Bexley.
The funds will also allow Bexley to increase our current adult social care workforce, improve retention rates and help with the additional demand over the winter months.
