Louie French MP for Old Bexley and Sidcup attended the Aspirations Day at Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School to give the children an insight into working in Parliament.
Even before his election, Louie has always done his best to support Bexley’s excellent local schools and to inspire future generations.
Alongside Louie, many parents and industries participated in the school event, including Millwall FC, Bexley Police, Bexley Firebrigade, a Video and Graphic designer and local Vet.
As the first homegrown MP for our area, the most fulfilling part of Louie’s role is his community work and supporting local people, including younger people and children.
During the visit Louie spoke with many students and handed out educational books on parliament and democracy, which he continues to donate to many local schools and students.
Commenting, Louie said:
“It was a real pleasure to be at Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School in Blackfen speaking with lots of the children and local teachers about my role as an MP, and answering many questions, including whether being an MP means meeting The King, Larry the Cat and Rishi Sunak. It was also pleasing to see a great turnout from local businesses, parents, Bexley Police and Fire services and Millwall FC”
“More widely, I am very passionate about our children’s engagement with Parliament and democracy, so I would be very happy to arrange a tour of Parliament for local families, so please do contact my office if you would like us to arrange this.”
