I am delighted that with the support of Bexley Conservative Councillors Cameron Smith and Kurtis Christoforides, local residents, parents and the fantastic team at Old Bexley Primary School, we have secured a new pedestrian crossing on Hurst Road.
This is a huge step forward in improving road safety in Bexley Village and will help keep children and parents safe when travelling to and from school, alongside the wider community accessing the Village area.
Bexley Council have now issued notice to install the new zebra crossing on Hurst Road, approximately 20 metres from the junction with Parkwood Road with works commencing this Summer. I will monitor progress of this closely and I am proud that we have secured this as a community.
